Complete lie from Geek Squad repair depot..... - HP LAPTOP


8 days ago my step daughter brought me her new HP laptop that is about 7 months old. Said it wouldn't boot, -I am a hardware tech for a Service tech corporation well know with Dell, Lexmark, Sony ect..- She thought I could fix it but it was under warranty and my wife bought the extended warranty anyway. So I did test and it failed on Hard drive testing. So we take it to the Geek Squad, in which the onsite Geekie, restates that yes it is the hdd and it will have to go to the Geek Depot for a replacement....Well ok. It comes back today, I open the box and get out unit, and upon powering up, it comes up with a 90b system error that cooling fan is not recognized in system, that it is not recommened to run the O/S without proper cooling......DUH! But then look at the paperwork sent with it ..Repairs maide, Hard drive replaced for failing hard drive, unit tested and passed all hardware testes......then techs last name....BULL/**** No way they could do a hardware test before shipping, fan was failing , it would shut down from overheating before completing test. Post repair checklist was a joke, "unit booted 3 times, with battery & charger, without battery, and then with battery only....HA HA HA Ha. HA HA....They may try to fool the average user but I have been working with laptop issues since 2000, and without cooling fan nothing happens for long. I guess the fan went bad in shipping, or the fan power cable came loose in shipping...Hahahahahahahahahah.....And down at bottom of the verification sheet it stated, "I certify that your computer is Ready, Willing and Now able! And a unledgable signature is written. LIAR...... Some idiot at their depot unplugged fan while replacing hard drive and FORGOT to replug, AND no one REALLY checked to verify after hard drive replace, just boxed it and shipped. These guys have no quality control in there stores or at depot. Don't trust them putting batteries in a flashlight...."they'll get it wrong anyway"
